Magnetic Necklaces Wear Your Therapy Around Your Neck
Magnetic necklaces offer a way to wear your therapy, and also show your style. The striking black magnetized hematite or magnetite beads are an attractive way to accessorize while experiencing the benefits of magnetic therapy.
In addition to being striking looking, the fact that a necklace is worn so close to the head is a plus. Those who wear magnetic necklaces claim relief from headaches, migraines, and a host of other ailments. Placement around the neck and chest, as well as the strength and number of magnets may have more impact than a smaller bracelet.
Choosing a magnetic necklace
Like magnetic bracelets and anklets, the necklaces can be made with either with the all black hematite or magnetite stones, or with accent pieces. The accent pieces can be made from a variety of materials, such as semi-precious stones, or freshwater pearls.
Sometimes, especially in the cheaper jewelry, glass beads are used. Don't assume, however, that just because a necklace has glass beads in it that it is of inferior quality. Check for the usual quality markers, such as the gauss strength of the magnets before making a decision.
A beaded necklace is a great jewelry piece and can have beautiful accent colors for all of your outfits. Some of our most popular items are accented with cloisonne beads. So, you can get an attractive bead necklace with magnetic therapy built in.
Lariat necklaces
are a popular choice.
You'll also find necklaces made with titanium, stainless steel, or tourmaline titanium rope. These materials may or may not be combined with other stones and hematite or magnetite magnetic jewelry. Be careful that the magnet strength on these items is sufficient, and read my plated metal warning below.
You will see many necklaces out there that use cheaper glass or even plastic beads, especially if it's a cheaper lariat necklace. At first glance, these might look attractive. Be aware, however, that many of these are using inferior magnets of weak strength, and are often low quality craftsmenship.
Also watch out for the plated metal materials as the plating may wear off, and they will "turn" and tarnish and discolor. This is especially true where the jewelry contacts your skin.
Some magnetic necklaces, surprisingly enough, are not made with a magnetic necklace clasp. A high powered magnetic clasp is a must have for your necklace. If not for the easy on-off feature, then for the fact that a piece of magnetic jewelry should have a magnetic clasp if possible.
You can buy a charm necklace of the magnetic variety as well. Necklaces with crosses as the charm are popular. The magnetic hematite cross necklace is extremely popular. If you want to buy a plain hematite necklace and hang a charm off of it, you can. It's best, however, to buy the jewelry with the charm on it, and buy another plain magnetic necklace for all purpose use.
With a charm or without, with or without special accent beads, such as cloisonne, a magnetic necklace is a great piece of jewelry with the benefits of magnet therapy.
